What we loved
Value: $200-night hotel close to Barclay's Center, booked last minute.
Friendly staff: Miracle at the front desk was very personable. We checked in via the app however our digital key was not working & had to get physical keys when we arrived.
Amenities: The hotel basement has a 24-hour workspace/game room, which also houses the small gym & offers complimentary coffee & tea.
Nearby shops: There are plenty of restaurants & shops nearby, notable Starbucks is a block away.

What we did not like
Blackout curtains let in some light.
The room is small (~200 sq feet) & would be hard to maneuver with large checked suitcases & more than 2 adults.
You can hear hallway chatter & door closures.
The shower took a long time to heat up, we had to leave it running for a few minutes. It might be an issue during the winter months.
Slow Internet speed (8 mbps)
Verdict
We needed a hotel within walking distance of Barclay's & after initially booking a stay at the nearby TownePlace Suites, we saw the Tru was on the same block & for $200 less during our trip, so we switched. We've stayed at a Tru before & know they are a bare-bones Hilton brand which was perfect for our 2-night stay.
