The Grand Idyllwild Lodge Review
" Nestled among the trees on over two acres of land, at an elevation of 5,600 feet, near Pine Cove, The Grand Idyllwild Lodge is an unforgettable boutique luxury lodge. Located at the “top of the town” this breathtaking lodge features panoramic views of the pristine, idyllic San Jacinto Mountains, including a majestic backdrop of the monoliths Lily Rock and Tahquitz Peak." - The Grand Idyllwild Lodge

Bottom Line
What we loved
Spacious room with spacious bathroom.
The room has two comfortable seating at the foot of the bed.
Small boutique hotel with 12 rooms.
Great location in Idyllwild-Pine Cove. Close to Idyllwild town center, which is a 15-minute walk.
One one-site charge point.
Comfortable bed
Plenty of communal seating (inside and outside).
Breakfast included in rate.
While slow, the lodge has an elevator to access the 3 floors.
Putt-putt & outdoor swing
Fast internet (110 Mbps).
What we did not like
Doors don't have peepholes, can't see who is knocking before opening the door
After-hours check-in is an envelope with your name and room taped to the front door, which felt unsafe. (Albeit there was a ring camera, that hopefully was recording).
Minimal staff onsite, have to text/call with any issues.
The in-room fireplace was cosmetic, a possible pro for some.

Booked a one-night stay in the Suite Bliss at the Grand Idyllwild Lodge directly for $324.50. Note this 12-room hotel has a two-night minimum with check-in Friday & Saturday, one-night with check-in Sundays through Thursdays.
While the room was spacious, the after-hour check-in process felt unsafe, and the breakfast was limited. I would stay here again if I was able to stay during the weekend with more breakfast options and check in between 3 - 5 pm to work with the staff.
